Encryption Activity

In this unit, students were asked to create a Python program which can encrypt some text.

This activity allowed me to achieve learning outcome 3, because I had to select a library for this task with good justification.

TrueCrypt Discussion

Week 8 was the begining of a discussion regarding the safety of TrueCrypt and whether it is safe to use or not. My peers’ responses were interesting, what I found strange is that I was the only one who argued it is not secure, because it is self-compromising. This prompted me to re-evaluate my stance- I hope to gain some clarity as the discussion unfolds.
