Reflective Activity 2
This week, students were required to discuss the problem of data broking.
By completing this activity, I achieved learning outcome 1, because I evaluated a computing problem (data broking) from different perspectives- I discussed behaviours of the involved parties from a legal, ethical, and professional perspective. I also ensured to give a fair evaluation by assessing conflicting perspectives. I found this activity to be good practice for my skills- some tasks at work require that I assess problems from multiple perspectives to ensure compliance. The focus on research for this activity also helped broaden my perspective on using research to solve workplace problems- I think building an understanding of a problem using case studies is definitely something worth trying in future.
