Literature Review

This week, I submitted one of the main assignments for this module, which is a literature review.

The literature consulted is substantial and demonstrates evidence of wider reading in the discipline. You structured your review well, with a good introduction, an attempt to analyse the literature, an argument, and a conclusion.

Your Turnitin score of 17% and an analysis of the turnitin report suggest an original assignment. I think some more emphasis on the conclusions based on your previous analysis would have made it even better.

This literature review was good practice and helped me refine my research skills, but more importantly I think this feedback will be most useful for my dissertation- when it comes to the dissertation, my literature review needs to be solid since it will influence how I interpret the problem I’m researching. The feedback helped me understand what a good literature review has, and more importantly, what I missed (namely areas that haven’t been researched or researched adequately).

By completing this assignment, I achieved learning outcome 2, because I applied academic skills in the form of a literature review, to obtain insights into a field in computing (i.e., microservices in e-commerce).

Collaborative Discussion 2

This week, students were required to discuss how a researcher should respond to a specific ethical situation. I provided my opinions on the matter (backed by academic literature), and by completing this activity, I achieved learning outcome 1 because I was able to evaluate a practical situation from a legal, professional, and ethical perspective.
